Black Bean Brownies

Fudgy, chocolatey, and packed with plants, these brownies sneak in protein and fibre from black beans without compromising on flavour. They’re quick to make, naturally sweetened, and perfect for a smarter chocolate fix.

Really simple to make, personally I would add a bit more cacao and perhaps some vanilla essence for a little extra flavour.

Hi Oana! You can use red beans 😊 The flavour will be slightly different, but they work really well. Let me know how it turns out!

Ooops... :) what tray size should I use for the results similar to those in your photo? It looks like I'm not even halfway there ;)

Hey Natalia! 😊 Sorry about that! I’ve just updated the tray measurements, and that should help you get results much closer to what you see in the photo. Thanks so much for flagging it, and I hope it turns out perfect now 🤍 x

Thank you! And what a prompt response! 💜 It looks like the size I've used should be OK... I wonder what went wrong (I fully followed the recipe). It tastes amazing anyway! :)

Hey Natalia! So glad you liked it 💛 Honestly, from the picture it doesn’t look like anything went wrong at all. If it turned out a bit thinner than the recipe photo, it’s probably just because you used a round dish instead of a rectangular one, the batter spreads over a larger surface, so it won’t be as thick. 😊

Hi Solange! I think these are not meant to rise like regular cup cakes as they have no flour. they look amazing nevertheless! hope you enjoyed them x
